How do you enrich a centuries-old town on the island of Goeree-Overflakkee with a new residential neighbourhood?
By studying the elements that have given the old centre its charm. In picturesque Goedereede, no house is like any other. Roofs are all at different heights, pavements are narrow or don’t even exist, and the frontage of the houses look out onto the open landscape that surrounds the town. We took those elements and created the Nieuwe Oostdijk. This new ‘neighbourhood’ has enlarged Goedereede with local-style houses that offer all the conveniences of a new build.
