conceptual planning
Terhills Resort
The Terhills development area, which lies in a former mining site near the Hoge Kempen National Park in Belgium, has a natural inland lake.
We were keen to incorporate the natural quality of that lake into our plans, so we designed new waterways. These new waterways improve the water quality of the lake and boost the bio-diversity in the area. They have also enabled us to position the houses in close proximity to the water. By setting the houses at a slight angle to the banks of the lake and the waterways, we’ve been able to guarantee the privacy of the guests. It’s a design that benefits both people and the environment.
